Introducing the Communitas Network

Greetings from the Communitas Network team! Thanks for visiting our temporary site. We will be rolling out our new site this fall. In the meantime, we encourage you to join the Network (see link on upper right hand corner of this page). There's no cost and we will keep you updated with the latest resources and upcoming CN events in your area. It's a great way to stay in touch with others, who like yourself, are passionate about church planting.

Here's a little about us...

Communitas Network is a network that exists to resource catalytic leaders to build transformissional communities. We refer to Communitas as a Network to communicate that we are not building a hierarchy, but rather a mutual space where resources and ideas are shared.

Our focus is partnering with leaders to build "transformissional" communities - places where people are on mission and pursuing spiritual transformation. Our passion is to see the church engage our communities and to serve kingdom leaders by providing public training services, resources, and strategic information you need to navigate .

What will Communitas Network provide?

1) Resources: Communitas Network will connect you with the best materials, websites, videos, and blog sites as well as introduce fresh new materials/resources designed to build community.

2) Gatherings: Regional gatherings, web-based connections and a national Group Life conference will be some of the events coming your way.

3) Research: We will keep you up to date with data about community life, new ministry models, trends, and insights gleaned from thought leaders and practitioners from a wide variety of models and ministries.

4) Coaching and Consulting: In these times when budgets are tight, churches must be crystal clear about mission, strategy and leadership development. We can help you allocate resources for missional impact and coach you and your team to optimal leadership performance.

Core Practices for Building Authentic Community

We were privileged to be hosted by some great churches in the beautiful city of Greensboro, North Carolina. The Communitas Training Team led a special two-hour training, specifically geared for small Group leaders. We hope that it helped your leaders gain confidence and give you the tools you needed to take your small group ministry to the next level.

A few weeks ago, Bill, Greg and Jeff did a special one day event in Charlotte, North Carolina, for church planters working under the umbrella of GHC. We loved hearing the stories of your kingdom work in the US and other parts of the world! This training was designed to help planting teams get clear on their overall strategy and provide guidance in the key aspects of leadership training and development. We enjoyed a great discussion around establishing a consistent missional DNA that allows groups to reach their full kingdom potential.
